trust me. if it had been Jean Claude... the psycho would never had made it to the door. Aedan would have shot him on sight. no questions asked.
that little bit of plot has been waiting in the wings since almost the beginning. Gin and i plotted it out ages ago. now that she's got the first mark, she'll heal up fairly quickly. with the transfusion and bed rest, she'll be right as rain soon enough.
and psycho boy hasn't gotten off easy. Meng Die is a sadist. she'll hurt him so badly, he'll wish for death. all Jean Claude is erally going to do is drink him dry.
i don't think it was so much that Asher was talked down as it was he only had one choice. either he killed the psycho and watched Janika die, or he forgot about the man and helped her. that was it.
