i keep telling you you're biased. one day, you're going to listen to me.

Aedan is stubborn. but i think it was what she used to survive. maybe, eventually, she'll let go of some of it. but she's still, at least in her mind, getting her feet under her, so that's going to drive how she approaches things. she's still more or less finding her rhythm in St. Louis among JC's people and in his life. once she really feels settled and like she's home, maybe things will change.

nope. no therapy. i just wrote what came to me. that's what i did with Mary M. that's what i did here with Doctor Tilson.

i had fun writing Jean-Claude going to Bert to more or less rub his nose in the fact that he wouldn't be able to use Aedan to his own ends for a while. (technically, in the books, the employees are basically the owners of the company because Bert is a prick about money and they got tired of it, but i've only kind of kept that in mind while writing this. canon? who needs canon?)
