i love Duke so much. he, and the rest of the team, were kind of supposed to be one offs. but Duke has grown on me so much. there's so much i don't know about him that i want to discover. and he just keeps surprising me with how deeply caring he is. with how much he idolizes Purple Team and how protective of them he is.

you know, i think if she was to give up any of the shit she's carrying, it would be with Duke. i know we've called him a puppy dog. and in some ways, he is. but there is so much going on in his head that makes him a good person to be around. and a good friend. and he obviously only wants the best for Dare and the rest of the team. maybe...

Duke absolutely should have taken them outside and thrashed both of them black and blue. but he's being respectful. or as respectful as he can be, given the situation. absolutely someone should have dug deeper and tried to extend a helping hand. and not just to her. to all of them. because they're all carrying some kind of trauma around, even if it isn't the shit Dare and Haley carry.

Jehnna was just so funny in my head when she was giving birth. because gone is the sweet and almost sickeningly innocent girl we've all come to know and in her place was this foul-mouthed hellion who would just as soon gut you as look at you. it was fun to write her for that little bit.
